The artifact
Every decision states what it costs, what it protects, and the trade-off it forces. The trade-off is the part every other tool leaves out.
The one thing to remember
Missing CMMC L2 puts ~$12.6M expected prime revenue ($8.4-16.8M range; $28M gross) at risk, plus an $18M RTX bid (~$4.5M expected at 25% win); honest fix ~$565K/12-18mo, which also clears insurance and cuts ~$1.6M/yr expected breach exposure.
